2003 Festival

The 2003 "Celebration of African American Spirituals" featured a wide-ranging commissioning project titled "A Spiritual for the New Millenium." Composers Roland Carter, Glenn Burleigh, Rosephanye Powell, Robert Morris, and Marvin Curtis were present for the world premieres of their arrangements and provided lectures and panel discussions on the spiritual.
