Alumni

School of Music alumni are joined together by their shared experiences during their student days and also by their membership in a large and vital alumni association after graduation. Our alumni are represented by the School of Music Affiliate Program Group (APG), which was founded for the following purposes:

  • To provide a forum in which Penn State School of Music alumni can grow professionally and personally;

  • To provide a means by which alumni of Penn State's School of Music alumni can stay connected to each other and to the School;

  • To provide the means by which alumni of Penn State's School of Music may remain informed of the activities of the School and College;

  • To assist the School of Music in the recruitment of musically talented students;

  • To assist by appropriate means with the provision of financial support to students studying music at Penn State;

  • To encourage and support the educational and career opportunities for the students in the field of music;

  • To foster a sense of pride in, and commitment to, the university while enhancing its reputation and prestige.

All alumni of the Penn State School of Music are members of the Music Affiliate Program Group regardless of their membership in the Penn State Alumni Association. A Board of Directors provides leadership for the APG, and is elected from the membership at-large for a term of three years.
