Robyn Dixon Costa is the faculty advisor of the Classical Music Student Ambassador program. She also works with School of Music students on their performance and presentation skills through a course she developed entitled The Teaching Artist Initiative. The mission of this course is to help students create and perform innovative programs that engage their audiences with interactive activities. In addition, she teaches online courses for the Penn State eLearning Institute and is a member of the music faculties at Bloomsburg University and Juniata College.
Costa serves as the principal English hornist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also an associate musician with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra and Music at Penn’s Woods Festival Orchestra.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Costa teaches Alexander Technique, which helps people learn how to use their bodies in the most efficient and pain-free way possible.
