Composition/Theory

Applicants to the M.M. in Composition/Theory must submit a portfolio of recent work and other required documents via the Online Portfolio Submission form.

A successful portfolio submission to the Penn State composition program includes the following items (details of each below):

1. Sample Notated Scores (with optional recordings)
    Masters Applicants: 3-5 Scores
2. List of works and performances
3. Personal Statement describing your experience as a musician/composer
4. Curriculum Vitae or Resume
5. Letters of Recommendation
6. Interview with Penn State composition faculty
