The School of Music is requiring the submission of recorded auditions via Acceptd for admission; video audition submissions are due one week before the candidate's scheduled audition.
Auditionees should prepare the following:
- two solo selections of repertoire
- one etude or other contrasting piece
- three-octave major and minor scales
Students should select repertoire that they feel represents their best playing and demonstrates musical expression, technical facility, good tone production, and an understanding of appropriate musical style. For this reason, it's a good idea to choose one slower lyrical piece and a faster, more brilliant piece.
