Our resident voice faculty members teach approximately 50 School of Music voice majors (graduate and undergraduate) and approximately 50 musical theatre majors (matriculating through the School of Theatre). The student-to-faculty ratio is approximately twelve to one, ensuring that our students receive the individualized attention and mentoring necessary to help them become successful performers and educators.
The Voice Area is a cohesive unit encouraging an open and positive atmosphere. During their degree work, our students work closely with each of the faculty members, who, in addition to studio voice, teach Voice Forum and courses in related areas, such as art song, opera, oratorio, musical theater, acting for singers, voice pedagogy and diction.
