SCHUBERT-FEST

Friday, February 14, 2020 - 7:30pm
Recital Hall - Music Building I, University Park, PA

FREE ADMISSION

Students from the voice area perform a joint program of music by Franz Schubert—one of the great composers of song. Schubert was extremely prolific, writing more than 600 songs in his short life. His works are notable for their wonderful melodies, the sensitivity to the setting of the text, and the important role of the accompaniment which often takes on elements of story telling.

This annual area-wide program began in 2017 with Mozart-Fest, and continued last year with Richard Rodgers-Fest.
