Come hear the final round of our 3rd annual Sing Out!—a scholarship competition for voice performance across theatrical genres. Sing Out! showcases vocal training at Penn State—particularly the way students are encouraged in both classical and musical theatre repertoire. Singers present a program of contrasting selections—an operatic aria, a musical theatre piece, and one of the singer’s choice—with value being placed on students stretching themselves vocally, dramatically, and musically. Pieces are staged to fully embody the character and to express the lyric.
