The Penn State Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dennis Glocke, gives its culminating performance of the semester.
Featured on the performance will be Concerto Competition Winner Jacob Bernat (saxophone). Bernat, a student of Dr. David Stambler, will perform the first and second movements from Paul Creston’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Band. Additionally, Jacob Bender (M.M. candidate in Wind Conducting) will conduct a transcription of Olivier Messiaen’s Apparition de l'Eglise éternelle by David Miller.
This performance will take place in the New Recital Hall at the Penn State School of Music. It is free and open to the public.
