Junior Ammi Lopez has been named a winner of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble’s Concerto Competition. She will be featured in an upcoming performance of the ensemble, playing Concertino for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 107 by Cécile Chaminade.
A native of Xalapa, Veracruz (Mexico), Ammi is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree and is a student of Naomi Seidman. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in flute performance at Carnegie Mellon University.
