Congratulations to voice faculty member Jennifer Trost who, along with accompanying graduate students, has been named as a finalist for the 2017-18 American Prize Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for the Performance of American Music/college division. The honor is based on a videotape of Trost’s performance of Judith Cloud’s monodrama Beethoven’s Slippers, presented on February 15, 2017 at the Palmer Museum of Art. The performance was assisted by collaborative pianist Svetlana Rodionova, as well as graduate students Alma Bulibekova, violin; Fábio Saggin, viola; Mirna Lazic, cello; and Assaf Benraf, conductor. The videotape was produced by School of Music staff member Christ Wahlmark. For more information, please visit see the American Prize website.
