Congratulations to Maria Guglielmina (M.M. flute performance) for her achievement of second place special prize in the 3rd annual Berliner International Music Competition. Contest results were published September 26, 2019.
According to competition information, special awards are granted to musicians possessing “outstanding talent.” Maria received an award letter, stating:
"we are delighted that our third edition has prompted such interest, since the artistic commission reviewed a very large number of applications from across the globe. It was the consensus of the commission that your performances reflect a huge musicality, depth of interpretation, and technical expertise needed to distinguish yourself in the music profession. Congratulations on your outstanding talent!”
The Berliner International Music Competition is open to all music disciplines and all ages. Musicians compete in two categories with at least 12 winners will offer a performance on October 30, 2019 at the Berlin Philharmonie. Other prizes include cash rewards and a CD recording to be distributed worldwide by the label Orpheus Classical.
