This interdisciplinary program is intended to help students prepare for performance careers while developing a secondary area of emphasis outside of music. Students must meet the same performance standards as those enrolled in the Bachelor of Music degree programs. This is the preferred degree program for students pursuing concurrent majors.
Students may apply for entrance to the Bachelor of Musical Arts program at the end of their fourth semester. During the first two years of study, students' progress in theory, basic musicianship, music literature, and performance track applied courses will be monitored. Students must achieve a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 to be admitted to the BMA degree program.
