The voice faculty offers auditionees the option of submitting audition prescreening video recordings. Those who pass the prescreening will be invited to campus on one of the regular audition days as requested, and will be guaranteed a callback lesson and interview on the same day. A live audition is required.
Recordings (using the same repertoire requirements) may be submitted electronically in one of two ways. You may choose to go to www.youtube.com and upload your video following the instructions provided. Under the video settings, choose "unlisted", and email your link to Dr. Ted Christopher at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may choose instead to provide a link to a website by which the faculty may access a video file directly. Email the URL to the same email address above.
If this is not possible, you may submit a DVD (repertoire requirements are the same as above) and send it to:
- Dr. Ted Christopher
- School of Music
- The Pennsylvania State University
- 114 Music Building I
- University Park, PA 16802-1901
Submissions must be received by December 1 to be considered for an audition in January or February (or by November 15 to be considered for the December audition date). Please list contact information (name, address, email, phone, and intended music degree program) with ALL submissions. Repertoire requirements are located at undergraduate voice auditions.
